The Entertation Index: June 15
Dean, Jimmy — Actor, singer and breakfast industry magnate Jimmy Dean died over the weekend at 81, meaning we have officially just lost my number one favorite combination James Bond series film actor/sausage empire entrepreneur of all time.

IMDB — Trust me, the next link is great. It’s a collection of what Manofest.com is calling “The 20 Saddest IMDB Profiles Of All Time” and features a collection of one-shot actors and actresses whose only roles are ones that they’d likely rather forget. Among some of the cherry roles here include “Farting Girl,” “Man in Crack House” and “Woman Who Urinates Herself.” Good stuff.

Margera, Bam — Former Jackass star Bam Margera was admitted to a Philadelphia hospital after a 59 year-old woman allegedly struck him in the head with a baseball bat. The incident was not caught on tape, because the woman was not riding in a shopping cart with a midget and three king cobras at the time.

McClanahan, Rue — The late Golden Girls star’s New York City apartment is again on the market following the star’s death earlier this month, with an asking price of $2.25 million. Among its amenities are “a door disguised as a spice rack,” a 1,600 square foot private garden,” and an office door “sculptured to look as though a naked woman were walking through it.” Hey, where are you going? It’s not a sculpture of McClanahan!

McKellen, Ian — Just for fun on this Dullsville kind of Tuesday, let’s take a look at this scene from Ricky Gervais’ Extras, wherein Sir Ian McKellen explains to Gervais’ Andy the secret to acting. A phenomenally great moment from a phenomenally great show.

Orgasm, Female — Allow the Index to work blue for just a moment, will you? Because HBO has recently announced an upcoming series on the network will be based around a former Village Voice writer’s acclaimed novel about the mysteries of the female orgasm. You may, accidentally, find this show on your cable system once, but you’ll never find it again and spend the rest of your life figuring out how you found it the first time.

Pavelka, Jake — The former Dancing With the Stars, Bachelor and Bachelorette star Jake Pavelka is slated to guest star on the Lifetime Channel in something called Drop Dead Diva, which I know is a television show but which I feel more comfortable pretending not to know exists. The episode will only be four minutes long, as that is roughly the time left on Jake Pavelka’s fifteen minutes of fame.

Too bad the 59 year old woman didn’t keep her elbow up. She really needs to work on her mechanics.
