The Entertation Index: December 10
Lee, Tommy – The ex-Motley Crue drummer wrote a letter to SeaWorld president Terry Prather, castigating him for keeping orca Tilikum in captivity and using “sick and twisted” methods to obtain the whale’s sperm. When Tommy Lee calls you out for “sick and twisted” sexual practices, you may have a problem.

Lohan, Lindsay – The erstwhile Inferno actress is reportedly in negotiations with Dancing with the Stars producers to appear as a contestant. If the show-runners are smart, “negotiations” with the felonious, broke, unemployed, unreliable, rehabbing, backsliding, rehabbing starlet will consist of “Hey, Lindsay. We’ll let you appear on DWTS for free. Or you can go back to the Betty Ford Clinic.”

Snooki – The Jersey Shore co-star is expected to be inside the ball that drops in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. Not only that, but the NYE crowd will be led by other Jersey Shore stars in a collective fist pump to try to set a Guinness world record during MTV’s New Year’s Bash special. My god, somehow MTV has made me long for the boring, safe predictability of the old Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Starr, Brenda – Comic strip Brenda Starr will end on January 2, 2011, more than 70 years after its first appearance. You will not notice, and a total of five people will be sad.

Swift, Taylor – The Mine singer will turn 21 on December 13, but says that she will not spend her birthday partying hard and getting drunk. Alcoholic beverage companies would be wise to get her endorsement, though, since anything that Swift touches sells bazillions.

Valentine, Blue – The upcoming Ryan Gosling-Michelle Williams film won an appeal to change its rating from NC-17 to R. A graphic scene in which Williams receives oral sex from Ryan Gosling is thought to have been the basis of the MPAA’s original rating, though the agency didn’t have a problem with a similar oral sex scene between Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman in Black Swan. As is usual with these ratings debacles, the MPAA completely muffed it.
