The Entertation Index: December 24

December 24, 2010

Eckhart, Aaron – While shooting Rabbit Hole, Eckhart reveals that he had nervy moments with co-star Nicole Kidman: “She was irritated with me and I was irritated with her but that’s the way movie-making is…It’s so surprising to me when people are surprised that movie making is sometimes tense and uncomfortable because inherently it’s going to be.”  Similarly, every actor who has ever had a sex scene with Halle Berry has had tense moments, flubbing the shoot so that it had to be performed over and over and over.

The Weird shop different from you and me.

Gaga, Lady – Before the last of her concerts in Paris Tuesday, The Oddly Dressed One spent time shopping—without pants.  She stopped at a few boutiques and bought several non-crazy items, which will most likely not be worn as regular clothing, but will be formed into a meta-clothing outfit and set on fire to symbolize the passion that burns in, but eventually consumes, all of us.

Greene, Ashley – The Twilight actress reportedly engaged in an email feud with a rehabbing Disney favorite Demi Lovato when Greene began dating Lovato’s ex, Joe Jonas.  As the story goes, Lovato fired off a nasty email to Greene, who responded by sending a picture of herself with Jonas.  The e-duel escalated from there.  Generation Y: the first age cohort for whom emailing “OMFG no you diint” is fightin’ words.

Hathaway, Anne – The Princess Diaries star and her boyfriend of two years, Adam Shulman, are moving in together.  The couple is expected to have awkward but adorable experiences from which they learn about each other—and themselves.

Lohan, Lindsay – The FBI is investigating “threatening and harassing” messages sent to LiLo from unknown sources.  The content of these ominous messages is unknown, but one was thought to include, “As part of your continuing rehabilitation, Ms. Lohan, the County will be drug testing you tomorrow.”

Lucasfilm– The entertainment behemoth has settled with the Department of Justice over anti-competitive recruitment practices.  Lucasfilm was allegedly conspiring with Pixar to prevent bidding wars over digital animators that would raise their salaries.  I’m a fan of fair labor practices, but if artificially depressing animators’ wages could prevent digital rendering tragedies like Jar Jar Binks, then please conspire.
