The Entertation Index: June 30
Diana, Princess — For what would have been Princess Diana of Wales’ fiftieth birthday, Newsweek editor Tina Brown decided to give her a special gift: a cover with the princess photoshopped next to Kate Middleton and a host of stories which purport how her life would be today had she not died in 1997. There’s even a sample of what her Facebook page would look like. Di’s current status? “Thinks Tina Brown is super creepy.”

Down, Party — The cast and creators of the beloved, cult Starz comedy Party Down gathered at Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse for a special event in which helmer Rob Thomas said they were “far along in the deal-making process” which would see a Party Down movie. Of course, this could also be an elaborate ruse Thomas is in on with Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz to continually tease and deprive us of total happiness.

Love, Courtney — The former Mrs. Kurt Cobain is back on the market. Rocker Courtney Love has reportedly split with and moved out of the home of her British art dealer boyfriend Henry Allsopp. Poor Courtney. We here at TBTS would like to send her a gift to make her feel better, but what do you give the girl who’s had everyone? We can’t just type: LookWhatsCool into google with this one…

MySpace — Media titan NewsCorp, the third largest media organization in the world, agreed to sell social networking site MySpace to another buyer for $35 million on Wednesday, a price that pales in comparison to the $580 million Rupert Murdoch paid for it in 2005. According to sources, NewsCorp is reportedly not as upset about the loss of money as it is that the website never helped get its band of the ground.

Univision — Hispanic television juggernaut Univision, which has recently gone toe-to-toe with the big three networks in ratings, has promoted TV executive Randy Falco, a former NBC higher-up and CEO of AOL, to the network’s top position. At least that’s what he thinks happened. Everyone was talking so fast, and he doesn’t know much Spanish. He thinks there might have been mention of an egg or maybe a hat in there somewhere too, but he’s not positive.

Zolciak, Kim — The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, fresh from delivering her new month-old baby with Atlanta Falcons football player Kroy Biermann, has released photos of the bouncing baby boy to Life & Style Magazine. Ah, you never forget the firsts. The first time your baby holds your finger. The first time he smiles. The first time you pimp out pictures of him for cash.
