Grant, HughFour Weddings and a Funeral actor Hugh Grant is frying bigger fish these days, with recent news that it may have been his covert recording of a News of the World editor’s admittance to phone hacking in a British pub which helped bring down the media empire. British authorities are praising the thespian for his good sense and clever sleuthing, and are calling it the most charming and droll sting operation ever.

Kelly, R. — The “Bump n’ Grind” singer is allegedly facing immenent foreclosure on his $2.9 million dollar Chicago mansion, after lenders say he defaulted on mortgage payments since 2010. Authorities will request he vacate the premises and plan to double-check all the closets in the house to make sure Kelly isn’t still there.

Lights, Friday Night — The football drama Friday Night Lights, which just wrapped up its series finale in May, has been picked up by ESPN Classic to air in repeats, after being originally aired by NBC, then having new episodes aired on DirecTV, then airing again on NBC, and now yet again on ESPN Classic. Sources say if this doesn’t work, the production team behindFriday Night Lights is going to go door to door with a portable television until it has forced everyone in America to see it and say they love it. Okay, we get it already. It was a great show. Happy now? Can we move on?

Minelli, Liza — Broadway diva Liza Minelli has been granted the lofty title of “officier” in the French Legion of Honor, a ranking established by Napoleon himself in 1802. Her first order of business will be to lead air strikes into the Tripolitania region of Libya to push back revolting insurgents.

Schwartz, Sherwood — The creator of long-running, classic sitcoms The Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island passed away Wednesday at the grand age of 94 years old. He was one of the greats. Police are currently looking into the involvement of a mysterious, cursed tiki idol found during Scwartz’s recent trip to Hawaii.

Scott, George C. — Here’s the best thing you’ll see all day. If you’ve already had the luxury of viewing the new trailer for Adam Sandler’s Jack and Jill, you already know the trainwreck it looks like. But I guarantee you’re not taking it as hard as Patton star George C. Scott. He’s inconsolable.
