Battles, Movie – In a just world, Smurfs, even though it stars NPH, would not have even a hope of competing with Cowboys & Aliens in weekend box office receipts. It is not a just world.

City, Sex and the – Author Candace Bushnell has written two novels that precede the TV show and films, sparking speculation that movie prequels are in the works. So much so, in fact, that several sites have hosted polls asking who should portray the NYC foursome. Unfortunately, most of the polls do not offer “No One” as a choice.

Glee – After rumors indicating that several main characters would and wouldn’t return and would and would get spinoffs, Executive Producer Ryan Murphy gave Deadline an interview in which he erased much of the confusion surrounding Glee’s future. This either mattered to you not at all, or allowed you to put down your firearm and release the breath you had been holding for two weeks.

Johansson, Scarlett – The latest to receive a YouTube military ball invitation, the bombshell actress respectfully declined Marine Sgt. Dustin Williams’s request but sent a grateful response and Moet and Chandon champagne. Williams figured that Ms. Johansson might have to beg off, probably realizing that if she accepted his invite, literally all of her staff’s free time from now until her death would be spent denying similar requests.

Potter, Harry – In barely more than two weeks, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 became the series’ highest-grossing installment, passing $1 billion worldwide. Coincidentally, this is $1 billion more than Scary Movie 4 should have made.

Time, In – Andrew Niccol’s age-defying, time-buying sci-fi flick stars Justin Timberlake and Olivia Wilde as his mother, who appears to be his same age. Because of this, the film will also inadvertently explore how the future handles Oedipal complexes.
