Bridges, Jeff – The Dude turned 62 yesterday. It’s not often that we celebrate birthdays on this site, but Bridges has been part of so many brilliant, iconic films (Blown Away, anyone?) that we felt this one would be appropriate. With any luck, The Dude will keep on abidin’ for years to come.

Cain, Herman – The one-time GOP frontrunner suspended his presidential campaign this weekend during a speech in which he inadvertently quoted a Donna Summer song from Pokemon: The Movie 2000: “Life can be a challenge. Life can seem impossible. It’s never easy when there’s so much on the line. But you and I can make a difference. There’s a mission just for you and me.” This was considered to be the least embarrassing thing that happened during Cain’s campaign.

Harris, Neil Patrick – While on last Thursday’s Live With Kelly, NPH inhaled sulfur hexafluoride during a science experiment to artificially lower his voice. When his pitch returned to normal, Harris commented, “I’ve never sounded more like a tranny in my life.” He quickly issued an apology, saying “Truly sorry for saying the word ‘tranny’ on Live this week. Twice! Should have been more thoughtful. Didn’t at all mean to offend.” We graduates of Transylvania University forgive you, NPH. No harm done.

Up – A couple of self-professed Disney obsessives have purchased a house in Utah inspired by the movie Up. They were looking for a house with “some of the same flourishes as the one in the movie, such as a multi-colored exterior or a blue kitchen with retro appliances.” So in other words, for $400,000 they bought…a pretty regular house.
