The Entertation Index: June 18

June 18, 2012

Lohan, Lindsay – Paramedics were called to Lohan’s hotel room after she did not respond to attempts to contact her, but it appears that the actress was simply “exhausted” and “dehydrated.”  Completely unrelated, but drinking an entire fifth of vodka in one night by yourself is both exhausting and a diuretic.  Just sayin’.

Madonna – Along with a 200-person entourage, Madge’s MDNA tour rider requires her dressing room to be “equipped with 20 international phone lines, be draped in a special fabric and filled with lilies and white and light-pink roses that have stems trimmed to precisely six inches.”  Insiders say she also demands the blood of three virgins each day to keep her from turning to dust.

McCarthy, Jenny – The former Playmate accidentally sent her dentist nude pictures of herself by phone, instead of pictures of her son’s gum abscess.  Or maybe she misunderstood when her dentist asked her to send pictures of her preferred implants.

Metallica – The heavy metal band is offering a reward for information regarding the killing of an attendee of one of their concerts in 2009.  Critics say that this is a laudable gesture, but insufficient penance for Lulu, Metallica’s god-awful collaboration with Lou Reed. (Thx to Jay St. Orts)

Travolta, John – The actor returns to the screen in the upcoming Savages, a welcome distraction from the recent accusations of sexual misconduct levied against him by masseuses and others.  He reportedly took the part after trying out and being rejected for Happy Endings.

“Once more into the breach, dear friends…” is probably not required for this movie.

Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja – The Michael Bay-produced reboot of the TMNT franchise has been delayed indefinitely due to issues with the script.  Really?  Script issues are holding up a movie about mutated reptiles who are also ninjas?  Do they really think punching up the script is going to make this movie better?
